breaking the blogging rut

man oh man, nobody is blogging anymore. this is really sad. i check everyone's blog all the time and still... nothing. well, i'll be the first to jump in. and just so everyone knows, the water's warm. anyhow, i've had a very nice time since being in mckinney. the first weekend, i had the pleasure of emmie and grandpa and christy for a night (plus the two extra kids they brought home to me. thanks for bringing the kiddos all the way mom and dad.) and that was wonderful. we'll have to do it again when you have more time to relax here. promise to be nice. and just before they left, mamaw and papaw and bryce came to visit. we had a lot of fun and once again, we'll have to do it when you can stay a little longer. (by the way, it just started raining really hard here. how nice.) then, it was another week of dean working normal people hours and i'm loving it. we went to the park a couple of times, went out to eat a couple of times, and all around had a wonderful week. then, just when life was getting mundane, yippee. jody and sarah and mikayla arrived for a couple of days. and we loved it. they left a couple of hours ago. we had a lot of fun shopping and playing games and going to market street and a pedicures (also known as a foot massage-sorry sarah. i was very ill prepared.) oh yeah, and ian and sarah ran a 1k saturday morning. it was so cute. that's what the pictures are of. they both did a pretty good job. i know sarah did it in 9 minutes and some-odd seconds. doesn't sound too good but if you know sarah, you'll be proud of her. ian was super dissapointed he didn't win. but there were 12 year olds in the race so i don't know what he was expecting. anyhow, i'm done writing. now i'll just post the pics and if you don't understand the pics, the just enjoy them as art:) love you guys and there, tara. finally a blog.
