Luxuries of Life

i really don't even have a title for this one. it's so random that nothing would come close to descriptive. and i really don't even have pictures. it's pretty sad. but obviously "update" would have been the best bet. however, i'm an original (kidding) and i think i've used that one a few too many times. well, the kids (minus abby) are sleeping and i'm pretty sure it won't be for long. but i relish the moments while they last. hmmm... i'd better go check on abby b/c she's quiet. and for those of you with babies, we know that quiet means trouble.

well, i shouldn't have gone. i knew i'd regret it. dirty diaper, ian woke up. so much for peace and quiet. oh well. so i'll go kid by kid and do a little update.

abby. she's CRAZY. and CUTE. and HEAVY to carry around. but most of all, she's cute. and she's about to be 1. ack! i don't know what to do. my tiny little baby isn't an infant any more. i'm getting so old. now i know how my mom feels. but on a smaller scale. so abby's bday party is the 21st and i'm really looking forward to it. the theme is cheerios, fruity cheerios, any kind of cheerios. b/c that's what abby likes. she actually may be a little cherrioed out but that's okay. i think it will be cute. she is pulling up onto furniture and people and whatever else is fairly stable and walks around the coffee table and things like that but still no walking. i'm so looking forward to her walking. but i'll be sad at the same time. she says mama, dada, tries to say bite. i'm not sure what else she's trying to say besides a horribly shrilly screech. she's cute though.

little sarah just woke up. she's the best in the morning. so calm and quiet. she's fixing to turn 4 next month. crazy. i'm not sure what we're doing for her birthday. she loves all things girly. but she does have a boy punch. nothing girly about her fighting skills. she learned it from ian. good for when she starts dating when she's 41.

ian. i feel like that's enough said. he's a fireball and crazy. i don't know what to say about him. he loves to swim. he's very kind and loving. he's always hungry. he starts school in 49 days. yikes. school supplies, homework, waking up every morning at about 7 o'clock. this will be crazy different than our days now. and socks and real athletic shoes? really? moms put on shoes shoes every day? time to teach ian how to tie is shoes. what ever happened to sandals? 1 second max to put those on. oh well.

well, i'm off to go make breakfast for the "starving" kids. they don't look starved. oh well. i'm sure they don't exaggerate so i'd best be to it. congratulations, sarah and jody. i love your little sour patch kid.

I can't BELIEVE it's taken me this long to comment; so sorry.

I did enjoy the updates on the chillins. You forgot to leave some on you and Dean. :(

Ian is awesome and indeed loving. CRAZY that he'll be wearing big boy shoes and going to school!??? When did THAT happen??

Sweet Sarah. I just think those two words go together so wonderfully. hee hee. She's a listener and I like that about her.

BABYABBY is not such a BABY any more. rats. I guess on her 1 year bday, I can call her just plain old Abby or (gasp!) Abigail. Those quiet moments can be the scariest of all. ha!

Love you! You never seem to call me anymore. Oh well. I guess I'll get over it.

BYE! :J) (don't worry- the J is just a little nose)

Sarah's gonna date at 41?? Me too!!!!!!!! Can't wait.. just a few more years.. I'd better start picking out my outfit now! She'd better not get married before me.. but she probably will. Rats. Oh well, I'll be happy for her. I'll probably make a dive for her bouquet. Hey, it's gotta work out for me sometime...

Glad to see an update, Gracie!!

I can't believe Ian is about to start school... time flies. But he will love it. Has he gotten any relief from his fear of writing his letters or numbers wrong? Only Ian would be so concerned about it. You did well in describing him.. but you left out STRONG. That boy can climb the doorway! You sure did nail it with the fireball comment, though.

Can't wait to see Abbs climbing up on my leg someday.. she is indeed cute - especially those teeth! There is nothing cuter than those teeth! She is so serious and then there comes a rare moment.. a little smile.. but only for 2 seconds.. then it's gone. But when you get one... it's like gold. :)

Love you, Grace.
