Days 2 and 3

A sandpit is a bad idea for sweaty kids. I guess that's why all the nonparents suggested it. Grrrr.

We made it through. And now, we're stronger because of it:)

The Wilting

And so it begins. The first day filled with joy and energy and beautiful weather.

What a Weekend

Well, it is good to be home. We made a trip to Rome, GA this weekend for Dean's state tennis tourny and as nice as it is to be away from the house, it sure makes you appreciate being able to say "Kids, go to your room and watch cartoons. I'm going back to bed." We had to wake up at 6:00 am and didn't get many naps in. Well, you may be wondering how Dean did. Let's just say Ian was afraid that Lightning McQueen was going to eat him for breakfast. Because we all know that he "eats losers for breakfast." How sad huh. Dean did well but he was a bit rusty and these guys were really good and practiced all the time. So Dean won one, lost four. Could've been worse. Well, one worse.

You're also asking how the kids did during the matches. Well...I'll come up with a couple of adjectives that may help out. Bored. Sweaty. Tired. Cranky. Wilted. Beautiful. Thought I'd throw one nice one in there. But that was for the second match at about 2:30. The 8 am one they did really well. Colored their coloring books quietly and played quietly on the playgrounds.

And if you're not asking yourself how I did, I'm insulted. You tend to get really hot at 31 weeks pregnant. So a couple of words for me. Sweaty. Tired. Cranky. Wilted. But proud of my husband all along.

All in all, it was a fun trip. Lots of good food eating out. Got to spend plenty of time with Dean, which I was in need of. Got out of the house. The kids enjoyed spending time with Dean. And most importantly, lot of skinny, in shape, very tan tennis girls in tiny tennis outfits. Gotta love it.

Well, that's it for this super long blog. I'll think of a bunch that I forgot to write about. Love to you all.
