A Real (Unwitty) Blog

yet another unwitty, unmotivated post. there for a while, my brain was working and i was able to get a compound, complex sentence out. now, however, a fog has set in. and that fog is named Fog Abby. wow. it's a hard age for that little girl. but even harder for me. i can't set her down without her welling up with big tears. if i leave the room, tears. so the only free time i have is when she is napping, which seems to be getting shorter and shorter, and fewer and fewer. so it's for a mere (approx.) 4-5 hours a day that i'm not holding a baby. and that is rough. but don't feel sorry for me because of that. feel sorry for me b/c during those few precious hours in which my brain should be recovering, i still have energetic ian and teary-eyed sarah. so it's always a fun time. but i just thought i owed an explanation as to why i haven't said one witty, smart, or clever thing in about 2 months. blame it on abby.

my mom and dad came for a visit this weekend. what a joy to have them here. it's always such a short visit, but every minute is filled with excitement. going to the gym, buying shoes, making dinner... it never ends. except when they leave of course. mom, dad, we need to do it again soon.

i received a very fun phone call from tara today. she always makes me so happy. my cheeks hurt without fail every time i'm on the phone with her. i'm always smiling or laughing. i miss you, tennessee friends.

ian starts school in six months:( :) i have mix emotions. he's going to love making friends and he's getting really good at his numbers and letters. he's practicing like crazy these days. he's really hard on himself though. he always thinks his teacher is going to get mad at him if he can't remember how to write a 5. he actually cries about that. poor guy. he's so precious. i can't wait until i get to walk into his classroom in a frumpy little outfit and say, "ian, sweetheart. where are you? you forgot your bag lunch!" you always see that in movies. and the boy sinks really low in his desk with embarrassment. oh, it will be so fun to pull those pranks on him. maybe i'll even go and give him a kiss and lick my hand and smooth his hair down. how fun is this going to be.

well, i'm off to bed. thanks for still checking on my blog. sorry it's be SO boring lately. until next time...
